Q: How does the whole process work?
A: You submit an image and or description of your desired costume. After we have confirmed all the details, Anna G. will give you a price. To get started on your costume, we will need 3 things:
- 50% deposit
- your measurements
- a copy of our contract signed
After this, Anna G. will send you progress updates and schedule any needed fittings. Your final balance of the costume (plus any shipping costs if needed) is due a few days before the costume is completed.
Q: How long will it take to complete a costume?
A: This all depends on how complicated your costume is. In general, most costumes are completed within 4 to 8 weeks. Rush orders can be accommodated depending on the volume of orders we have at that given time.
Q: When should I submit a deposit?
A: Your deposit secures and saves your spot in the line of orders we have to complete. Even if your deadline seems far in the future, it is best to send in your deposit as soon as you can. We cannot begin construction on any costume until a deposit is received.
Q: When should I submit a deposit for my Halloween costume?
A: As soon as you can! Halloween season is our busiest time of year. Most customers start order inquiries in late July. By mid-September, we are usually booked. Depending on the year’s order volume, how many extra costume making personnel we’ve hired, and the complexity of your costume, your Halloween order may still be accepted after this date. However, you may be subject to a rush fee and granted fewer fittings due to time constraints.
Q: Can I have sketches ahead of time?
A: No. To respect the time spent making costumes for other paying customers, there is a sketching fee. Depending on their quantity and complexity, this fee ranges between $50 to $150 per sketch or set. If you decide to order a costume, this sketch fee is applied to the deposit of the costume.
Q: I am not local to Chicago. Can you ship my costume?
A: Yes, we can ship anywhere. In the past, we have shipped our costumes all over the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia. We’d love to add your continent to our list.
